Surf beaches in Perú
Peru is one of the world's great surfing destinations, with more than 3,000 kilometers of coastline on the Pacific Ocean and waves for every level. Its coast combines the cold waters of the center and south, bathed by the Humboldt current, with the warm sea of the north, in Piura and Tumbes, where you can surf in boardshorts all year. Here you will find legendary waves such as Chicama, the longest left in the world, the feared Pico Alto and the perfect barrel of Cabo Blanco, along with Lima's urban waves and dozens of spots to discover. Birthplace of the caballito de totora, considered one of the oldest forms of wave riding, Peru offers a unique surfing and cultural richness. The best conditions come with south swells, between April and October.
WaveSearch brings together 64 surf spots across 7 regions in Perú, with real-time wave forecasts. You'll find spots for all levels: 18 for beginners, 34 for intermediates, 9 for advanced and 3 for experts.
