About Bocapán

Bocapán is a beach located in the district of Zorritos, province of Contralmirante Villar, in Tumbes, in northern Peru, known for its left-hand wave that breaks over a sand and rock bottom. It is a fun point break, ideal for intermediate surfers, with sections that shape up well and pleasant rides in a warm, tropical sea setting. The mild water all year round allows comfortable surfing without a wetsuit in any season. Beyond surfing, the area offers an interesting range of tourism: lodging, houses and apartments to rent, and humpback whale watching tours in season, one of the great natural spectacles of the north. Its proximity to the Zorritos beach town adds services and seafood cuisine.
