About Waikiki

Waikiki is the most famous beach in Miraflores for learning to surf and one of the great icons of Lima surfing. Located on the Costa Verde, in front of the promenade, it offers gentle, full-shaped waves, perfect for beginners who want to take their first steps on a forgiving, hassle-free wave. It breaks over reef and works almost all year, which makes it a constant meeting point for surf schools, instructors and surfers just starting out. Its access is unbeatable: it is just minutes from the heart of Miraflores, with all services at hand. Much of the capital's surfing culture was born here, and today it remains the gateway to surfing for many Lima residents. As such a crowded wave, it is important to respect priority and order in the water. For those who want to learn to surf in Lima safely and with a good atmosphere, Waikiki is, without a doubt, the best starting point.
