La Libertad is a land of long lefts and ancient surfing history. Here you will find Chicama, the longest left-hand wave in the world, with rides of more than two kilometers, and Huanchaco, a World Surfing Reserve and birthplace of the caballito de totora, considered the oldest surfboard on the planet.
