Puerto Morín is a long left located south of Trujillo, in La Libertad, a quiet point break that offers consistent waves with workable sections and very few people in the water. Its walls shape up with south swell and allow long rides ideal for working the wave and linking maneuvers, in a relaxed atmosphere away from the bustle of the better-known beaches. One of its draws is easy access, as it is reached directly from the Panamericana highway, which makes it a convenient stop for anyone traveling the northern coast. The best season runs from March to October, with south swells. It is a wave recommended for intermediate surfers and above looking for quality and space without straying too far from Trujillo. For the local or passing surfer, Puerto Morín is a solid, accessible option within the rich coastline of La Libertad.
