About Barranquito
Barranquito is an urban spot on the Costa Verde, in the district of Barranco, that breaks next to a jetty and offers accessible lefts and some rights over a sand and stone bottom. Its great virtue is consistency and forgiveness: the waves tend to be steady all year and rarely get too big, which makes it a perfect place for beginners taking their first steps and for intermediates looking for relaxed sessions. Its central location, just minutes from the heart of Lima, makes it very accessible and popular among the local surfing community. Around it there are surf schools and all the bohemian, cultural atmosphere of Barranco. As a crowded wave, it is important to respect priority and order in the water. For those starting out in surfing or looking for friendly waves without leaving the city, Barranquito is one of the most recommendable spots on the Lima Costa Verde.
