By registering, accessing, or using WaveSearch, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with any of these conditions, you must not use the service.

• By creating an account, you confirm that you have read and accepted these terms.
• Continued use of the site implies acceptance of the current terms.
• You must be at least 14 years old to register and use the service.

WaveSearch is an informational tool for marine condition forecasting for surfing on the Peruvian coast. The data we display comes from third-party sources and represents mathematical estimates.

• Forecasts are estimates based on meteorological models, NOT real-time measurements.
• Wave and wind data comes from Open-Meteo, an open-source weather service.
• Extended wave and current data comes from Copernicus Marine Service (CMEMS).
• Tide predictions are model-based estimates, not direct observations.
• Data accuracy varies depending on conditions and geographic location.

• We do NOT guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of the data displayed.
• WaveSearch is NOT responsible for decisions made based on the information provided.
• Sea conditions can change rapidly and unexpectedly without prior notice.
• The user assumes all risk when entering the sea. Surfing and water sports are inherently dangerous activities.
• Our forecasts do NOT replace direct observation of conditions or personal judgment.
• If in doubt about conditions, consult experienced local surfers or coast guard services.

Users can contribute content to WaveSearch, including photos, beach proposals, and edit suggestions.

• All submitted content goes through a moderation process before being published.
• By submitting content, you grant WaveSearch a non-exclusive license to display it on the site.
• You retain ownership of your original content.
• Inappropriate, offensive content or content that violates third-party rights will be removed.
• You are responsible for the content you submit and warrant that you have the necessary rights.

To access certain features, you need a user account.

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• We reserve the right to suspend or delete accounts that violate these terms.
• You can delete your account at any time from your profile settings.

The original content of the site is protected by intellectual property rights.

• The design, code, original texts, and the WaveSearch brand are property of Adratech Systems.
• Copying, reproducing, or distributing site content without authorization is not permitted.
• Meteorological and oceanographic data is subject to the licenses of their respective sources.

WaveSearch uses data from external services to generate its forecasts.

• Open-Meteo: wave, wind, temperature, and visibility data. CC BY 4.0 license.
• Copernicus Marine Service (CMEMS): extended wave and ocean current data.
• We do not control the availability of these external services.
• Interruptions in third-party services may affect data availability on WaveSearch.
• Each service has its own terms of use and licenses governing their data.

WaveSearch uses strictly necessary cookies for site functionality (session, language and unit preferences, and CSRF protection). We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time.

• Modifications will be published on this page with the updated date.
• Continued use of the service after changes implies acceptance of the new terms.

These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the Republic of Peru. Any dispute shall be submitted to the jurisdiction of the courts of Lima, Peru.
